The cost of procuring a boat license in NSW varies depending on the age and the license tenure. The license tenure can be of 1, 3, 5 or 10 years. Individuals between 12 years to 16 years of age enjoy a 50% concession in the license fee. The license cost for different tenure is as given below:

Further, you will need to appear for a General boat knowledge test, which costs $36. The general boat knowledge test has 2 groups, Pool A and Pool B.
